In 2011, OPEX was commissioned to project manage the hospital market testing in conjunction with SGP Property & Facilities Management (Now trading under the name of ‘Bellrock’) for St Georges Hospital in Tooting – London. The hospital market testing involved reviewing a wide range of Soft FM services including a variety of cleaning and housekeeping services (29,000m2, 250 beds) within the main St Georges Hospital site. Such as scheduled and reactive cleaning, planned and periodic cleaning, hostess services, theatre cleaning and deep cleaning.
The trust was very active in the development of various specifications and tender documents and, along with the SPV, a fully Coordinated suite of documents was produced. The contract was successfully tendered and started in June 2011 and upon completion, a highly detailed report was made with advisories on any forward action needed by the client. Opex has gone on to work on various other projects with SGP (Bellrock) in both Market Testing and other services.
